Merits

Deadline engine

Enter the docket posture and the dates the record already holds. Merits applies the EOIR Policy Manual defaults, rolls weekend and federal-holiday dates forward to the next business day, and cites the authority for every date. Where EOIR publishes no default, it asks for the scheduling order instead of guessing.

Dates from the scheduling order

A date entered here is the Immigration Judge's order for that deadline and replaces the published default. This is where detained-case deadlines come from. The appeal window to the BIA is not listed — it is fixed by regulation and no judge can move it.

Choose the docket posture, add the dates the record holds, and compute. Each deadline appears with its due date, its authority, and the consequence of missing it.
